It doesn’t do much good to lather your skin with moisturizer when dead skin is present. That film left on your shower curtain is also attached to your skin unless you take measures to get rid of it.
Rest is another element that’s essential to glowing skin and bright eyes. That’s why it’s called beauty sleep. As you age, sleep is even more important to renew and rejuvenate. Your bodily cells renew themselves when you rest and help you look refreshed during the day. So don’t be shy to take that quick nap.
If you have trouble sleeping, try to relax before bedtime. Deep breathing exercises, limiting heavy meals and alcohol will help you get in the mood for a good night’s rest. Adding a warm bath with some added aromatherapy oil can add additional benefits.
Toxins contained in cigarettes not only affect your lungs, but they’re brutal to your skin. Alcohol causes drying of the skin. Both alcohol and cigarettes aren’t conducive to anyone’s beauty and can significantly harm your skin.
Hair is considered your crowning glory. You can boost the strength and beauty of your hair by eating protein-rich foods which increase the keratin (structural component) of your hair. I’ve recently been taking biotin and am looking for positive results soon. It’s also good for your nails. Including eggs, nuts, meat and seeds in your diet will provide natural protein that’s good for hair and nails.
Another beauty tip that all of us can benefit from is to groom your eyebrows. You can go from looking bushy to beautiful in just a few moments and bring focus to your eyes. Trimming and waxing brows will give you a finished look. You may need to look at the fashion magazines to determine your shape. Also, have your esthetician follow your natural brow line to enhance your look. If they have thinned out, add brow powder or pencil to give your face a fuller look.
All of us can benefit from protecting the skin from the elements. Sun, wind and cold can dry out the skin and make it itchy and pale.
